About me

Hi there,
My name is Troy Spoelma and I am a graphic designer and cinematographer. Although I was educated as a designer, my interests lead me into a career of filmmaking and brand storytelling. My favorite thing to do is make ideas come to life whether that be in the form of video, design, or even an entire brand.

I have worked with large brands like Chipotle, USA Hockey, Motiv, Zebra, and many others. I have had my work in nationwide campaigns, a commercial on ESPN, and have risen the ranks on Unsplash to be in the top 1% of all content contributors with my work being seen by over 6 million people. I have had my work used and featured by numerous brands such as Wix, Adobe, Squarespace, Figma, and Unfold.

My personal hobbies consist of staying active by doing things like weightlifting, mountain biking, running, tennis, and anything that involves being outdoors. I have persistent need to grow in knowledge and talent and have made it a goal of mine to learn something new everyday whether that be a specific design technique, the history of a certain style, or things like a new and emerging film trend. I try to stay on the cutting edge of all things visual design and progressively work on honing my skills.
