Brief: For this project, I created a concert poster for the music artist, Tyler, the Creator. If you know of him or his music, you know that he can be a little jarring at times. I wanted his sound to be portrayed by the shapes, colors, and textures I used in the poster.

By using the display font I chose, the paint spatter mimics his occasional harshness and cutthroat attitude. If you look closely you will se that almost all of the images look like they have been cut out, crumpled up, and worn out. I did this to give you that homemade feel like someone took their love worn images and put them in a little scrapbook. I did this because Tyler uses rudimentary musical instruments to make his music. He is also the one who writes, produces, and arranges all of his music. A one man band if you will.

I wanted the composition of this poster to be very dynamic to reflect the dynamic personality that Tyler has. All of his music has some story to it, a journey. I thought that this poster should have the same. A starting point and a journey to a conclusion. I used eye paths and focal points to accomplish this. All in all, if you know anything about Tyler, the Creator hopefully you see the attention to details and how they relate to him not only as a music artist but also as a person.
